1. Hand-eye exercise to manage anxiety

Watch this video for a simple way to start calming your nerves.

Instructions

  • Place your hand on top of your head.
  • Tip your head in the direction of your arm.
  • Look up to the opposite top corner of the room
  • Hold for 30 seconds
  • Repeat on the other side

 

This (1 minute) short exercise reduces anxiety by changing your breathing, which helps you start to let go of tension & relax. This exercise also stimulates the vagus nerve (a nerve involved in regulating the nervous system).
